Butterfly Kisses Fun Fold Cards

Today I have an easy fun fold card idea to share, and I have two different ways you can use this fun fold in your card making. The cards feature a variety of products from the Stampin’ Up! Butterflies Kisses Suite. However, keep in mind you can use any supplies you have on hand to create these fun fold designs.

Butterfly Kisses Portrait Style

First let’s talk about the portrait style fun fold card. We are basically creating two flaps for this fun fold card. Start with a 5-1/2 x 7 inch piece of cardstock. Score the 7 inch side at 4-1/4 inches to create the base of the card. Next, cut a 4 x 4 inch piece of the same color cardstock you used for the base of the card. Score one of the sides at 1 inch. Cut a 4 x 5-1/4 inch piece of white cardstock. Adhere the 1 inch flap, from the 4 x 4 inch piece, to the white card stock and then adhere the white cardstock to the inside of the card. You have just created the fun fold card design!

Now you can decorate the card with any supplies you have on hand! I decided to use the bright and cheerful Butterfly Wishes Designer Series Paper for this card. The DSP on the front panels is cut a 1/4 inch smaller than the panel. You can also use the little butterflies from the DSP as embellishments on your card. Super cute and easy to make!

Landscape Style

Now let’s talk about the landscape style card. To create this card, you will use the exact same measurements as the portrait style card. The only difference is how you cut your paper to decorate the card. Be sure to pay attention to directional designs on the paper to ensure you cut it appropriately for this style of card.

Of course, you can use any supplies you have on hand to create the cards in either portrait or landscape style. I recommend watching the video to see the creation of the fun fold design in action!
