Sending Smiles with the In Color Collection

The NEW 2022-2023 Stampin’ Up! Annual catalog is live! As you know I am super excited about the new In Color Collection. So today I have a variety of different card ideas to share featuring the new In Colors and a new product bundle called Sending Smiles.

In Color Collection

First let’s talk a little bit about the 2022-2024 In Color Collection. Every year Stampin’ Up! comes out with 5 fun new colors which are called the In Color Collection. Each collection is with us for a period of two years. The collections are named by the year they start and the year they will retire. Hence the new In Color Collection is called 2022-2024. It was launched in 2022 and will retire in 2024. We always have two In Color Collections in every Annual catalog; last year’s collection and the this years collection.

Each of the card ideas feature the exact same layout, I simply changed out the colors for a whole new look! To create this layout, start with a 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inch piece of white cardstock. Score the 8-1/2 inch side at 4-1/4 inches to create the base of the card. Cut another piece of white cardstock at 4 x 5-1/4 inches and adhere to the card front. Next, cut a 1 x 4 inch piece of patterned paper and adhere it to the left side of the card front. Stamp the floral images on the right side of the card front using coordinating colors. Cut a 1 x 4 inch piece of cardstock and adhere it across the bottom part of the card front. Add the “Sending” die cuts and stamp a greeting.

Sending Smiles

Let’s talk a little bit about the Sending Smiles Bundle from Stampin’ Up! This particular bundle includes the Sending Smiles stamp set and the Sending Dies. there are a variety of stamp images in this set which you can mix and match with the “Sending” die cut to create different greetings. Plus, I absolutely love the layering die cut for the word “Sending.” There are two “sending” dies; one solid die for the background and a detailed die for the word. It creates a beautiful, layered look and it’s super easy to put together!

Score the 8-1/2 inch side at 4-1/4 inches to create the base of the card. Cut a 2 x 4-1/2 inch piece of patterned paper and adhere to the left side of the card front. Cut a 2-1/4 x 3-1/2 inch rectangular shape from a piece of white cardstock or use the Stitched Rectangle Dies to create this piece. Stamp the floral images on a scrap piece of white cardstock and cut them out with the coordinating Sending Dies. Adhere the floral images to the card as shown.

Cut a 3/4 x 4-1/4 inch piece of Parakeet Party cardstock and adhere it across the bottom part of the rectangle shape. Add the “Sending” die cuts and stamp a greeting. Of course you can add twine and embellishments as desired.
