Change is Beautiful – April 2022 Paper Pumpkin

Today I have a variety of card ideas to share featuring the April 2022 Paper Pumpkin kit called Change is Beautiful. The kit contains all the materials you need to create 9 beautiful cards. However, I only created one of each of the 3 card designs from the kit. I used the rest of the card bases, envelopes and materials from the kit to create 9 additional card designs. A total of 20 cards from this kit! Of course, I added some of my own supplies too!

Change is Beautiful Kit

The April 2022 Paper Pumpkin kit is called Change is Beautiful. The designs are based on some of the most beautiful changes which occur in nature. The kit contains all of the materials to create 9 cards; 3 of each of the 3 different designs; 6 of the designs are fun fold cards. Plus, the kit contained 9 coordinating envelopes.

Each Paper Pumpkin kit includes an exclusive stamp set, an ink spot and a variety of supplies to create the projects. The stamp set in the kit features 9 different images you can use to make the kit projects and for additional card making.

Envelope Card Ideas

The first thing I did with the kit was to create 3 cards based on the instructions in the kit. I love to create the cards ideas as intended. Once that was complete, I cut apart all of the card bases and the envelopes! The envelopes had a variety of beautiful colors and patterns. I am all about creating with patterned paper so I just had to cut apart the envelopes.

The envelopes are very easy to take apart. Once you have them apart, you can use the different pieces in your card making. These first two cards feature the beautiful envelope paper with the Brilliant Rainbow Dies and the cloud punch. I love the bright cheerful look of these cards. Plus, they are super simple to create. Use the large rainbow die to cut out the different colors in the envelopes.

The last two set of cards also feature pieces of the envelopes from the kit. I love the pink polka dot envelopes, so I just had to use it to create some fun backgrounds from the butterfly and flower pieces from the kit. You can cut a 2 x 5-1/4 inch piece of the paper from the envelope to create the back drop for the flower card. The backdrop for the butterfly card consists of a

Besides cutting apart the envelopes, you can also cut apart the card bases which come in the kit. This enables you to create twice as many cards. You can use the front and back of the card base to create two different cards like these.

Simply cut the card bases down to 5-1/4 x 4 inch size. They will fit perfectly on a standard card base. Then simply decorate as desired.

Z Fold Alternates

The last two card ideas feature two cards created from cutting up one of the z fold card bases in the kit. Start by cutting a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece from the flat, non folded part of the z fold card base. Create your own card base from a piece of white cardstock. I typically use a 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inch piece of white cardstock, scored in the middle at 4-1/4 inches. Adhere the 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece to the white card base, then decorate as desired.

You can create a second card from cutting up the z fold card in the paper pumpkin kit. Start with a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 inch piece of white cardstock. Cut apart one of the envelopes from the kit to create a 4 x 5-1/4 inch piece of patterned paper. In this case, I used one of the pink envelopes to create the background for this card. Take the leftover fun fold section, trim it down so it’s even, and adhere it to the front the pink paper. Add a 2-1/4 x 4 inch piece of white cardstock to the inside of the card. Then decorate as desired.

By cutting apart the z fold cards in the paper pumpkin kit and adding a few of your own supplies, you can create two cards instead of one. Super fun and I love the look of both cards.

There are two z fold card designs in the kit. Here is an alternate idea for cutting apart and using the other z fold card. This little fun fold features a landscape style card. The other fun fold showcases a portrait style. Both are beautiful and a great way to transform one card, a z fold card, into two different cards.

As you can see, there are a variety of different things you can create with the stamp set and materials in each Paper Pumpkin kit! However, you must subscribe to the program by the 10th of each month in order to receive that month’s kit. Once the deadline passes, the kits are no longer available.
