Today I have a variety of card ideas to share featuring the March 2022 Paper Pumpkin kit called Beyond the Horizon. The kit contained TWO exclusive stamp sets instead of one. First, I will share some alternate ways you can use the kit and supplies to create some beautiful cards. Then I will share some fun ways to use the different images from both stamp sets we received in the kit. We will be using the baby wipe technique to create some fun little background pieces for the cards.
Beyond the Horizon
The March 2022 Paper Pumpkin kit is called Beyond the Horizon. The kit contains all of the materials to create 9 cards; 3 of each of the 3 different designs. Plus the kit contained 9 coordinating envelopes. I like to put together one of each of the kit card designs before I create any alternate designs. Here are the card designs from the March kit:
Each Paper Pumpkin kit includes an exclusive stamp set, an ink spot and a variety of supplies to create the projects. The stamp set in the March kit features 8 different images you can use to make the kit projects and for additional card making. And the extra stamp set in the kit features 12 different images which means lots and lots of card making possibilities!
Alternate Card Ideas
The March Paper Pumpkin kit coordinates with the New Horizons suite int he Stampin’ Up! Jan-June Mini Catalog. So I decided to use some of my own supplies, a few products from the suite along with materials from the Paper Pumpkin kit to create the following designs.
The cool thing about this month’s kit is that all the card bases had beautiful horizon scenes similar to the New Horizons Designer Series Paper. It makes it so easy to add a few elements to create a gorgeous card. All of the spring and mountain elements came from the kit. Simply adhere them to the cards, as shown, to create the focal point for the card. I highly recommend checking out the video below for additional details on these designs.
Baby Wipe Technique
After using up all the supplies in the kit, I turned to creating some fun cards using the two stamp sets we received in the kit. One stamp set was a gift and the other set was the exclusive set used to create the kit cards. I combined the two stamp sets along with the Baby Wipe Technique to create the following cards.
The baby wipe technique is a great way to create your own ink pad! Simply lay a baby wipe, folded in half, in a plastic container. Add a few drops of different color inks to the baby wipe. For these cards, I used Misty Moonlight, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight re-inkers. Once you create your color palette on the baby wipe, you are ready to ink up a stamp image. Ink up the image by stamping the image into the colors on the baby wipe and then stamp them on your cardstock. It creates a fun colorful image for your project. Be sure to check out the video below to see this technique in action!

Video Tutorial
As you can see, there are a variety of different things you can create with the stamp set and materials in each Paper Pumpkin kit! However, you must subscribe to the program by the 10th of each month in order to receive that month’s kit. Once the deadline passes, the kits are no longer available. So I highly recommend becoming a subscriber so you don’t miss out on the fun! Learn more about the monthly Paper Pumpkin kit program HERE. Check out some of the past paper pumpkin kits HERE.
