Today I have 4 simple card ideas to share featuring the Stitched Greenery Die and the extra stamp set we received in the March 2022 Paper Pumpkin kit called Beyond the Horizon. The kit contained TWO exclusive stamp sets instead of one. I used one of the stamp sets to create the paper pumpkin cards. The other stamp set was a gift from Stampin’ Up! for being a subscriber!
Simple Cards
First let’s talk about these two simple card designs. The cards feature the large floral image from the set and a bit of two-step stamping. For the first card, I started by stamping the solid floral image all over the card front using the stamp off technique. Simply ink up the image, stamp it off on a scrap piece of paper and then stamp the image on the card front. It produces a lighter shade of color, in this case, a lighter shade of Calypso Coral. Randomly stamp the image across the card front. Take the overlay image, ink it up with Calypso Coral ink, and stamp over the top of the solid image. This creates the details of the flowers. Add a doily, some patterned paper and any other embellishments to create the focal point.
The second card idea features the use of the Stitched Greenery Die embossed on the card front. Once embossed, create the focal point with a variety of images from the stamp set. All of the images are stamped on a scrap piece of white cardstock and then cut out with your scissors. It’s very easy to fussy cut these images with your scissors.
Greenery Die
The last two card ideas showcase a few fun ways to use the Stitched Greenery Die. The cool thing about this particular die is that it actually etches the stitched greenery image into the cardstock. In other words, it cuts the design into the cardstock without cutting the cardstock into little pieces. The first card is very similar to the card above. However, this time I layered some patterned paper together before creating the focal point. The polka dot piece measure 2 x 5-1/2 inches. The Vellum is 2 x 4 inches and the yellow paper is 2 x 3-1/2 inches.
The second card idea features the greenery die on a 3 x 4 inch piece of Crumb Cake cardstock. Cut a 2 x 4-1/2 inch piece of polka dot patterned paper and adhere on the left side of the card front. Add the crumb cake cardstock and then create the focal point with the beautiful floral.
