Waves of Inspiration have been flowing through my craft room this week. It’s a fun new bundle of products from Stampin’ Up! that I have been using to create a variety of different cards. So today I have two London Bridge fun fold cards to share with you featuring this new bundle. And I have two ways you can use this fun fold in your card making.
Landscape Style
First let’s talk about how to make this card in landscape style. The card design was shared at one of our recent team meetings and I just fell in love with it. And it works perfect with a variety of products from the new Waves of the Ocean collection. The basic concept for creating this card involves a few cuts in the card front and the addition of a little “bridge.”

To create it, start with a 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inch piece of white cardstock. Score the 8-1/2 inch side at 4-1/4 inches. Basically you will start with a standard card base. Place the card base in your paper trimmer with the 5-1/2 inch side at the top of the trimmer. Line up one of the edges of the cardstock at 1-1/4 inches and make a cut down to the score line. Line up the other edge of the card front at 1-1/4 inches and make a cut to the score line. You should end up with two 1-1/4 inch flaps on each side of the card front. Cut a 1-1/4 x 5-1/2 inch piece of white cardstock for the “bridge.” This piece will be adhered to the two flaps once you add your patterned papers. Be sure to watch the video to see the creation of this card in action!
Waves of the Ocean
Before we chat about the portrait style card, let me tell you a bit about these new products. The cards feature a variety of products from the Waves of the Ocean collection. The collection includes a stamp set, dies, foil paper, designer series paper and some beautiful embellishments. The Waves of Inspiration Bundle is part of this collection and includes the Waves of Inspiration stamp set and the Waves dies. This particular bundle is an early release from the 2022-2023 Stampin’ Up! catalog but you can get it now! The other products in the Waves of the Ocean collection are only available through May 2, 2022 or while supplies last.

Portrait Style
Ok, now that you have a bit more information about the new products, let’s talk about the second way to create this fun fold card. This card is basically the same design as the first one but the orientation of the design is in portrait style. I love to change the orientation of my cards, between portrait and landscape, to create a fun new look. There are just a few modifications made to the measurements to get it into portrait style.

To create this card in portrait style, start with a 4-1/4 x 11 inch piece of white cardstock. Score the 11 inch side at 5-1/2 inches. Place the card base in your paper trimmer with the 4-1/4 inch side at the top of the trimmer. Line up one of the edges of the cardstock at 1 inch and make a cut down to the score line. Line up the other edge of the card front at 1 inch and make a cut to the score line. You should end up with two 1-inch flaps on each side of the card front. Cut a 1-1/4 x 4-1/4 inch piece of white cardstock for the “bridge.” This piece will be adhered to the two flaps once you add your patterned papers. Be sure to watch the video and grab the printable tutorial for all the measurements!
