Today I have a variety of different card ideas to share which feature the January 2022 Paper Pumpkin kit called Kisses and Hugs. This month’s kit contains all the materials you need to create 10 heart shaped fun fold cards. However, I only created 5 of the heart shaped cards from the kit. I used the rest of the card bases and materials from the kit to create 16 additional cards. Of course, I added some of my own supplies too!
Kisses & Hugs Kit Cards
The January 2022 Paper Pumpkin kit is called Kisses and Hugs. The kit contains all of the materials to create 10 fun fold cards; 5 of each of the 2 different designs. Plus the kit contained 10 coordinating envelopes.
Each Paper Pumpkin kit includes an exclusive stamp set, an ink spot and a variety of supplies to create the projects. The stamp set in this month’s kit features 12 different images you can use to make the kit projects and for additional card making. And this particular kit works perfectly with the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder and coordinating dies.
Alternate Paper Pumpkin Card Ideas
The first couple of alternate card ideas feature the use of the paper pumpkin kit exclusive stamp set and the vanilla heart shaped card bases. I decided to use the Bouquet of Love Hybrid embossing folder and dies to cut up the vanilla card bases. This enabled me to create a variety of different embellishments and shapes for these cards.
Start with a piece of blushing bride card stock. Stamp the “XO” images across the card front using Blushing Bride ink to create a fun background. Simply embellish the cards with some heart shapes cut from the gold/vanilla card bases from the kit. The Bouquet of Love Hybrid embossing folder works perfect for this.
Hybrid Embossing Folder
The last few cards ideas really showcase the beautiful floral images created from the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing folder. Are you wondering what a hybrid embossing folder is? Well, it’s one of the most clever embossing and die cutting designs ever! You can die cut an image and emboss at the same time! Simply lay the die (cutting side up) in the negative space on the embossing folder, lay the card stock on top of the die, close the folder and send it through your embossing machine.
For these cards, the Bouquet of Love Hybrid embossing folder adds the texture to the card stock and the heart die cuts out the shape from the center of the card stock. I created all three of these cards using the die and embossing folder on blushing bride card stock and/or on the heart shaped vanilla card bases from the kit. I recommend watching the replay of my live video to see the creation of these cards in action!
Video Tutorial
As you can see, there are a variety of different things you can create with the stamp set and materials in each Paper Pumpkin kit! However, you must subscribe to the program by the 10th of each month in order to receive that month’s kit. Once the deadline passes, the kits are no longer available. So I highly recommend becoming a subscriber so you don’t miss out on the fun! Learn more about the monthly Paper Pumpkin kit program HERE. Check out some of the past paper pumpkin kits HERE.
