Merriest Moments Christmas Card Ideas

Today I have a variety of different Christmas card ideas to share featuring the Merriest Moments Bundle from Stampin’ Up! This particular bundle includes a Stamp Set, Die Set and a 3D Hybrid Embossing Folder. The bundle is perfect for creating simple and stepped up card designs. Let’s take a look at some of the fun ways you can use this bundle in your card making.

Simple Stamping

The Merriest Moments stamp set has a variety of images which are perfect for simple stamping. The first card showcases how to use the different leaf and bough images to create a beautiful cluster of foliage in the background of the card. Next, take the splatter image and stamp it in between the foliage using Real Red ink. Add a beautiful floral image to the center to give the card a bit of depth and dimension. For the finishing touch, add a 1/2 x 4-1/4 inch piece of patterned paper across the bottom.

The second card features a bit of simple stamping with the foliage on the bottom of the card front. Add a 2-1/4 x 5-1/4 inch piece of patterned paper to the top part of the card. Next, create a focal point using the floral and foliage images. Simple yet stunning!

Hybrid Embossing

If you love adding texture to your cards, then you are going to love this next card ideas. It features the use of the Merriest Frame 3D Embossing Folder to create the beautiful background on this white card front. Once the frame is embossed, I simply added a piece of patterned paper to the center of the frame using the coordinating die. For the finishing touch, embellish with some foliage and the beautiful floral images. Super simple and stunning!

Merriest Moments Stepped Up Cards

The last two cards feature the use of the Merriest Frames 3D Hybrid Embossing Folder and the larger die cut shapes. One of the cool things about this bundle is that one of the large dies actually cuts out the Merriest Frame embossed image. Plus, there is another die in the set that cuts out a matting for that embossed image. Super cool and so easy to create!

To create the first card, start with a 2-1/4 x 5-1/2 inch piece of patterned paper and adhere across the card front. Next, use the Merriest Frame 3D Embossing folder on a piece of white cardstock. Cut out the large embossed frame using the coordinating die. Take a piece of cherry cobbler cardstock and cut the matting for the frame using the largest die. Adhere the two pieces together and add to your card front. Then decorate as desired.

The second card features a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock embossed with the Merriest Frame 3D Embossing Folder. A piece of white cardstock was used to create the matting behind this piece. For a little added touch, I lightly added versa mark on the boughs, sprinkled with white embossing powder and then heat the powder to set. It gives the appearance of snow on the boughs.
