The holidays are a time of giving. A time to gather with friends and family. A time to take a moment to enjoy each other’s company and all of life’s blessings. The Time of Giving stamp set, from Stampin’ Up!, captures the spirit of the holiday season with a variety of fall and winter themed stamped and dies. One of the fun things about the Time of Giving Bundle is that you can create cards for three different holidays: Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. I love when a stamp and die set has a variety of uses. So today, I have 5 simple yet stunning holiday card ideas to share which feature this product bundle.
Autumn Cards
The first set of Time of Giving cards feature an Autumn theme, perfect for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. I decided to use a bit of the Blackberry Beauty Designer Series paper and elements from the ephemera pack to pull in the colors of fall.
The first card showcases the beautiful pumpkin die cut shape cut into a 2-5/8 x 4 inch rectangular piece of Cinnamon Cider cardstock. The interesting thing about these dies are that they create a little pumpkin window design into a piece of cardstock. I used the dies to cut a little pumpkin window in the top and bottom part of the cardstock. Then I used a little rectangular shape to create a window in between the pumpkins. Add a bit of white cardstock behind the die cut rectangle for a fun look!
The second card showcases the little pumpkin die cut into smaller rectangular shapes. Start by cutting out two pieces of gold foil paper at 1 x 2-3/8 inches. The stitched rectangle dies work great for creating these pieces. Take the pumpkin die and cut out the center of each of the 1 x 2-3/8 inch rectangular shapes. Adhere them to a 2-5/8 x 4 inch rectangular piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock as shown. use the leftover rectangular shape from the first card to create the greeting. Decorate as desired.
Christmas Cards
The next set of cards feature the Christmas dies and stamps from the Time of Giving bundle. Yes, you can create Christmas and Thanksgiving cards from ONE bundle! The first card showcases the beautiful snowflake die coupled with a 4 x 5-1/4 inch piece of the Peaceful Place Designer Series Paper. Cut a 3-1/2 x 4-1/2 inch piece of white cardstock. Cut the snowflake die into the top and bottom of the white cardstock. Adhere to the DSP and decorate as desired.
The second card features the Santa’s Sleigh die cut image on a 2 x 4-1/4 inch piece of white cardstock. Cut a 4 x 4-1/4 inch piece of one of the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper patterns and adhere it to the center of the card front. Adhere the white cardstock, with Santa and his sleigh, across the center of the DSP. Next, cut two pieces of the striped DSP at 3/4 x 4-1/4 inches. Adhere one above and below the white cardstock. Decorate as desired.
Time of Giving Shaker Card
This last card idea is a Christmas shaker card! Since the Gift Giving Dies create a decorative window, I thought they would be perfect for making shaker cards. And they are! For this card, I am showcasing the Whimsy & Wonder Designer Series Paper with the snowflake die from the Time of Giving bundle.
Start with a 4 x 5-1/4 inch piece of the Whimsy & Wonder DSP and adhere to the card front. Cut a 2 x 4-1/4 inch piece of white cardstock. Next, cut the snowflake design into the white cardstock. Cut a 1-7/8 x 3-7/8 inch piece of a window sheet. Adhere the window sheet behind the snowflake die cut window. Add a few foam adhesive strips all around the window sheet to create a boxed in area.
Sprinkle a few Subtle Shimmer Sequins in the boxed in area. Peel off the adhesive backings from the foam adhesive strips and then adhere the 1-7/8 x 3-7/8 inch piece of white cardstock over the top. Flip this piece over and shake it! Go ahead and add it to the card front and decorate as desired.
