Pretty Pumpkin Card Ideas – Non Traditional Colors

Autumn is one of my favorite seasons simply because the colors are so beautiful. However, today I am mixing it up a bit with some non traditional pretty pumpkin card ideas. The cards feature Sahara Sand and Pool Party. And when you add a bit of white, you have quite the stunning look!

Non-Traditional Colors

The cards feature the Pretty Pumpkins bundle from Stampin’ Up! This fun bundle of products comes with a stamp set and coordinating dies. Couple this bundle with the Harvest Meadow Designer Series paper for even more fun card making adventures. The first card idea showcases a variety of different stamped and die cut images across the card. The die cut images are created with Sahara Sand cardstock. The stamped pumpkin features Pool Party ink. It’s a subtle card design with a pop of color.

The second card idea features the same die cut and stamped images. The only difference are the colors I chose to create it. White pumpkins are very elegant and really make the design pop! Add a 1-1/2 x 4-1/4 inch piece of DSP and a little torn paper to the card front. Then simply layer the pumpkins together to create this simple yet elegant look.

Pretty Pumpkins

The last non traditional card idea I have to share features a bit of DSP layering. Start with a 4 x 5-1/4 inch piece of white cardstock. Adhere a 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 inch piece of DSP down the center. Cut a 1 x 5-1/4 inch piece of Sahara Sand cardstock, tear it in half and adhere the halves to each side of the DSP. Next, cut two pieces of DSP at 3/4 x 5-1/4 inch and adhere to the sides of the white cardstock. For the finishing touch, add a bit of linen thread and then embellish with a variety of die cut shapes and a greeting.
