Pansy Petals Suite – 3 Easy Card Designs

The Stampin’ Up! Pansy Petals Suite has a variety of beautiful products for card making. If you love pansies, you are gonna love all the different ways you can these products in your card making. So today we will focus on using the Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the Pansy Dies. And I have 3 different simple card layouts to share which were inspired by some Mystery Stamping.

Mystery Stamping

Each card layout I am sharing today was inspired by a few different Mystery Stamping sessions I had with my team. What’s mystery stamping? Well, I’m glad you asked! Each month a provide my team a list of measurements and supplies they need to gather. They can use ANY supplies. Basically we all cut our DSP and cardstock pieces using the exact same measurements. However, when we actually put the cards together, the designs are always very different! It’s a super fun activity and we come up with many different layouts.

Here are the measurements for creating this particular layout: Cut a 2 x 4 inch piece of patterned paper and a 3-1/4 x 4 inch piece. Next, Cut a 3-1/2 x 2 inch piece of cardstock and a 1/2 x 4-1/4 inch piece of cardstock. You can arrange these pieces as I have displayed here or play around with them to come up with different layouts.

Pansy Dies

Now if you decide to use these card layouts with the Pansy Petals Suite, you have several options for creating a pansy for the focal point. These two cards feature a little pansy bud as the focal point. You can also create a full pansy using a variety of dies in the set!

To create this card layout start with a 1-1/2 x 5-1/2 inch piece of DSP. Next, cut a 3 x 3 inch piece of a different pattern of DSP. Cut a piece of card stock large enough to fit the greeting you will be using. Arrange all the pieces on the card front and decorate as desired. I would encourage you to play around with different designs using these exact same measurement of DSP. There are many different ways you can arrange the DSP on the card to create a fun background.

Pansy Petals DSP

Besides using the beautiful die cut shapes to create a focal point for your card, you can also use the images in the DSP. The wonderful thing about the dies is that they will cut out the pansy images from the DSP! Yes, that means you do not have to fussy cut them with a scissors!

To create the layout for these cards, start by cutting two pieces of the same pattern of DSP. Cut one at 1 x 4-1/4 inches and the other at 2-1/2 x 4-1/14 inches. Cut a 3 x 3-3/4 inch piece of cardstock and snip one of the ends into a banner.Arrange all the pieces on the card front and decorate as desired. I would again encourage you to play around with different ways to arrange the pieces on the card front.
