The NEW 2021-2022 Stampin’ Up! catalog is live! Wahoo! So to celebrate, I am showcasing the NEW Color & Contour Bundle with the NEW 2021-2023 In Color Collection. And I have two fun and simple cards layouts featuring all 5 of the NEW Stampin’ Up! In Colors. A total of 10 cards in all! Don’t have the new In Colors or bundle yet? No worries! You can use these card layouts with any stamp set and ink colors you have on hand!
Color & Contour
The first couple of card ideas feature some of the fun images and die cut shapes from the Color & Contour Bundle. The cards were created with a two step stamping process. First stamp the outline image, then stamp the solid image to “fill in” the color. The great thing about the new In Colors is that you can choose either the Soft Succulent or Evening Evergreen color to stamp the outline image. Of course Pale Papaya, Fresh Freesia or Polished Pink will work well to add color to the flowers.
The basic layout for these cards is as follows. Start with a 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inch piece of cardstock. Score the 8-1/2 inch side at 4-1/4 inches to create the base of the card. Cut out a scalloped rectangular shape with one of the Color & Contour Dies. You can also use a 2-1/2 x 3-3/4 inch piece of white cardstock instead of the die cut shape. Stamp the images on the white cardstock piece.
Stamp the splatter image on the card front using the same color ink as the color of the cardstock. Cut four pieces of patterned paper at 1 x 3-1/2 inches. Layer the pieces down the center of the card front in between the splatter images. Add the focal point and embellish as desired.
Monochromatic Card Ideas
One of my favorite things to do with the 5 new In Colors is to showcase them in monochromatic style. These cards feature the exact same layout in each of the 5 different colors. It’s a fun way to play with all of the new colors and create some amazing cards!
Each of the cards feature the exact same layout showcasing each of the 5 new In Colors. So pick a color and gather all of the supplies in that ONE color. For the purpose of illustration, I will focus on the Fresh Freesia color but you can use these measurements to create a card in any color and with any supplies. Start with a piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock for the base of the card. Cut out the large scalloped rectangular shape, from a piece of white cardstock, using the die from the Color & Contour Bundle. Stamp the floral and splatter images on the white scalloped rectangular shape using Fresh Freesia ink. Add a 1-1/2 x 3-1/2 inch piece of DSP across the center of the card. Add a greeting and embellish with some twine and In Color jewels. Easy Peasy!

Thank You Lynn, for all the free downloads. I am loving all your card ideas. I am 80 years old, and always have a hard time understanding (Hearing) following tutorials, so when I found you as I was cruising the internet, and could hear all your instructions clear as a bell, and then discover there were downloads, I was elated. I have already tried a couple of your designs. very happy with them. Thanks again Lynn. BTW I am in Canada, so sorry cant join your color club. Have a great day, stay safe,
Hugs
