Today I have a variety of different card ideas to share which feature the April 2021 Paper Pumpkin kit called So Cool. The card ideas feature some fun ways to use the two sheets of stickers from the kit. Now if you didn’t get in on the April 2021 Paper Pumpkin kit, no worries! These card layouts can be used with other stamp sets or supplies you have on hand. Just get creative with it!

Paper Pumpkin Kit Cards

The April 2021 Paper Pumpkin kit is called So Cool. The kit contains all of the materials to create 12 cards; 3 of each of the 4 different designs. These cards are super simple to create since everything in the kit is pre cut and ready to assemble. There is just a little bit of stamping to create the greeting for each of these cards. And, of course, each card has a coordinating envelope!

So Cool Stickers

Each Paper Pumpkin kit includes an exclusive stamp set, an ink spot and a variety of supplies to create the cards. The stamp set in this month’s kit features 7 different images you can use in your card making. The kit also included two sheets of stickers which were intended to be used for decorating your envelopes. However, I decided to remove the adhesive from the back of the stickers so that I could use them to create more cards. A total of 16 extra cards!

It’s super simple to remove the adhesive from stickers. All you need is an embossing buddy! Simply blot the sticker, the sticky side, with the embossing buddy. The powder inside the embossing buddy removes the stickiness so that you can use the stickers as an embellishment or focal point in your card making! So cool!

Popsicle Cards

The first couple of card ideas feature the use of the popsicle stickers which came in this month’s kit. They make awesome little focal points for each of these cards. Removing the stickiness allowed me to pop them up on the card to add a bit of depth and dimension. The first card features a fun little layout created with four pieces of patterned paper measuring 1-1/4 x 4 inches. Simply stagger them across the card front for a fun look. Cut a 1-1/2 x 5-1/2 inch piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock, tear it in half, and adhere one of the halves to the left side of the card front. For the finishing touch, add the popsicle focal point and embellish as desired.

The layout for the second card features a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of the watercolored patterned paper. Cut a 1-1/2 x 4 inch piece of the polka dot patterned paper and adhere it to the left side of the first pieces. Next, cut a 1 x 4 inch piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock, tear it in half, and adhere one of the halves to the card as shown. Tie a bit of twine around the patterned paper and create a bow. Adhere the entire piece of patterned paper to the card front and embellish as desired.

Ice Cream Corner

Now all of the card ideas I am sharing today feature different patterned papers from the Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. This particular DSP pack works perfectly with the April 2021 Paper Pumpkin kit. To create the first card, start with a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of DSP. Cut a 1 x 5-1/4 inch piece of a different DSP pattern and adhere to the left side of the first one. Tie a bit of twine around the patterned paper and create a bow. Adhere the entire piece of patterned paper to the card front and embellish as desired.

The second card features four 1 x 4 inch pieces of DSP adhered across the card front as shown. Next cut a 1-1/2 x 5-1/4 inch piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock, tear it in half, and adhere one of the halves across the top of the card front as shown. For the finishing touch, add the popsicle focal point and embellish as desired. The rectangular shapes were created with the Stitched Rectangle Dies; however, you can simply cut a rectangle shape large enough to fit the popsicles you are using.

Fruity Cards

The next couple of cards featuring the little fruit stickers from the April 2021 Paper Pumpkin kit. For these cards, I decided to do a bit of sponging to create a soft background. Stampin’ Up! has some amazing blending brushes that work perfect for this technique. However, a sponge or sponge dauber will work great too. Start by sponging a bit of Pear Pizzazz ink in the center of the white card front.

Cut a 1 x 4 inch piece of polka dot DSP and adhere to the card as shown. Next, cut a 1/2 x 4 inch piece of a different DSP pattern and adhere to the card as shown. Adhere the fruit pieces to the card using a few dimensionals. For the finishing touch, embellish as desired.

Rainbow Cards

The last couple of card ideas feature the little rainbow stickers which came in the April 2021 Paper Pumpkin kit. Now rainbows need clouds, right? Well the clouds on the first card were created with the stencil from the March 2021 Paper Pumpkin kit. Sponge the clouds, using Bermuda Bay ink, on the top of a 3-3/4 x 5 inch piece of white cardstock. Cut a 1-1/2 x 4 inch piece of DSP and adhere to the bottom of the cardstock. Add some torn paper and a bit of twine. Then simply decorate as desired.

The last card idea features a bit of layering with the torn paper. Start with a 4 x 4 inch piece of DSP and adhere it to the right side of the card front. Cut a 1 x 4 inch piece of DSP and adhere it to the left side of the card front. Cut three pieces of cardstock, in three different colors, at 1 x 4 inches. Tear each of the pieces in half and then layer the halves on the card front as shown. Then simply decorate as desired.

Supplies

How fun are all of these cards! Even though I focused on the stickers, there are also some super cute little stamp images in this set you can create cards with. I really look forward to receiving my kit each month. The projects are super fun and there are a variety of different things you can create with the materials in each kit! However, you must subscribe to the program by the 10th of each month in order to receive that month’s kit. Once the deadline passes, the kits are no longer available. So I highly recommend becoming a subscriber so you don’t miss out on the fun! Learn more about the monthly Paper Pumpkin kit program HERE. Have a fun and creative day my friends! ~ Lynn
