So today I have a variety of different card ideas to share which feature the exclusive stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! Bouquet of Hope Paper Pumpkin kit! We will focus on some simple stamping techniques and card making designs. Now if you didn’t get in on the February 2021 Paper Pumpkin kit, no worries! These card layouts can be used with any stamp set and supplies you have on hand. Just get creative with it!
Bouquet of Hope Kit
The February 2021 Stampin’ Up! Paper Pumpkin kit is called Bouquet of Hope. The kit contains all of the materials to create 9 cards; 3 of each of the 3 different designs. These cards are super simple to create since everything in the kit is pre cut and ready to assemble. There is just a little bit of stamping to create the greeting for each of these cards. And, of course, each card has a coordinating envelope!
While I love to create my own designs, I really look forward to receiving my kit each month. The projects are super fun and there are a variety of different things you can create with the materials in each kit! However, you must subscribe to the program by the 10th of each month in order to receive that month’s kit. Once the deadline passes, the kits are no longer available. So I highly recommend becoming a subscriber so you don’t miss out on the fun! Learn more about the monthly Paper Pumpkin kit program HERE.
Stamping on DSP
Each Paper Pumpkin kit includes an exclusive stamp set. The stamp set in this month’s kit features 7 different images you can use in your card making. For these cards ideas, I decided to use the large floral bouquet image and the Playing With Patterns Designer Series Paper. Keep in mind you can use ANY patterned paper and supplies you have on hand to create these cards.
The card layout is simple yet beautiful! Start with a piece of white cardstock for the base of your card. Tear a little bit off the right edge of the card front to expose the inside of the card. Add a 1 x 5-1/2 inch piece of patterned paper to right side of the inside of the card. Next, cut a 3 x 4 inch piece of DSP (a different pattern). Stamp the bouquet of flowers in the center of the DSP using Night of Navy ink. Cut a 1 x 3 inch piece of cardstock, tear it in half so you end up with a 3 inch long piece of torn cardstock. Adhere to the bottom of the DSP. Cut a 1/2 x 3 inch piece of white cardstock and stamp a greeting on it. Adhere to the card as shown.
These first four cards all feature the exact same card design. The only difference between them is the patterned paper I chose to use. You can stamp on just about any patterned paper so get creative with it!
Additional Card Ideas
The last two card ideas feature some additional ways to use the large floral bouquet in your card making. The first card showcases a beautiful stamped background. Start with a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of the coastal cabana colored paper from the Playing With Patterns DSP pack. Stamp the top part of the floral bouquet image all around the edges of the DSP using Coastal Cabana ink. Create and focal point and embellish as desired.
The last card idea features the use of stampin’ blends to add color to the bouquet. Now keep in mind you can use any coloring tools you have on hand. To create this card, start with a piece of Purple Posy cardstock for the base of the card. Cut a 2 x 4-1/4 inch piece of DSP and adhere it across the center of the card front. Cut a 2-3/4 x 4 inch rectangular shape (or use the Stitched So Sweetly Dies to create the shape). Stamp the bouquet on the rectangular piece and color in the image with your favorite coloring tools. Cut a 1 x 4-1/4 inch piece of Purple Posy cardstock for the greeting.
