Re-using your card designs is a great way to get the most out of your favorite card designs. So today I have several different card designs that I basically copied from myself. Haha! That’s right! Initially I created three of these cards using the Lots of Heart Bundle. They turned out amazing! So today, I have reused those 3 card designs with a few slight modifications. I simply changed out the colors and added images from the Stampin’ Up! Darling Donkeys stamp set. Super adorable!
Re-Using Card Designs
The first three card designs I have to share might look a little bit familiar to you. I featured these exact same layouts during my most recent blog post. You can view them HERE. The card designs showcase some fun every day card ideas you can create with the Lots of Heart Bundle. Today I am re-using those card designs by using some different colors and incorporating images from the Darling Donkeys stamp set.
This first card idea was inspired by a design in the Stampin’ Up! 2021 January – June Mini catalog. The card features a variety of hearts, stamp images and dies cuts, from the Lots of Heart Bundle. The main focal point of this card, and the other card ideas, is the Stampin’ Up! Darling Donkeys image.
Besides decorating the outside of the card, you can also add a few stamp images and die cuts on the inside. Coordinating the outside card design with the inside card design is easy to do! Plus it adds such a nice touch and really completes the card. You can get all of the details on this card by watching the video and downloading the tutorial.
Darling Donkeys Window Card Idea
I had so much fun creating with the Stampin’ Up! Darling Donkeys and Lots of Heart sets that I just had to create another card. This last card idea is a window card idea using one of the many hearts dies. Simply use the die to create the cluster of hearts on the right side of the card front. Add a bit of patterned paper behind the hearts on the inside of the card. The patterned paper will show through the heart shapes when the card is closed.
Create a focal point for the front of the card using the Stampin’ Up! Darling Donkeys image and some of the hearts shapes from the Lots of Love Bundle. For the finishing touch, be sure to decorate the inside of the card.
