Love is in the air and all over my craft room this weekend thanks to the Stampin’ Up! Lots of Heart bundle! Now these card ideas are not your typical “love themed” cards. I have three different thank you card ideas featuring some of the images and die cuts from the bundle. Yes, hearts are not just for Valentine’s Day! All of the cards feature the following colors: Calypso Coral, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight. The perfect color combo for every day card making!
Lots of Heart Bundle
This particular bundle comes with the Lots of Heart stamp set and the spectacular Many Hearts die set. Wait until you see all of the fabulous die cuts in this bundle! So many fun things to play with that I am really only scratching the surface of what is possible with this set. This first card was inspired by one of the samples in the Stampin’ Up! 2021 January – June Mini catalog. Yes, you can CASE the projects in the catalog or use them for inspiration!
Start with a piece of white cardstock for the base of the card. Cut a 5 x 3-3/4 inch piece of Calypso Coral cardstock and a 4-3/4 x 3-1/2 inch piece of white cardstock. Randomly stamp the heart image across the white cardstock using the Old Olive and Daffodil Delight ink. Use the heart outline die to create the Old Olive heart shape and adhere to the card as shown. Then simply decorate as desired with a variety of the images and die cuts from the set. Super cute!
Sent with Lots of Heart
I poured Lots of Heart into this second card idea. Literally! Look at all of the hearts! Now this might look a bit complex but you will be surprised at how easy it is to create this card. Start by stamping the plaid heart image three times on a scrap piece of white cardstock. Cut out the images using the coordinating die in the set. Take one of the hearts and cut in half (use your paper trimmer).
Add a few dimensionals to each of the plaid heart images and arrange them on the card front as shown. Do not adhere them yet. Ink up the polka dot heart image with Daffodil Delight ink, and stamp the image in various spaces in between the plaid hearts. Simply move the plaid hearts out of the way to stamp the polka dot ones. Once you have the yellow hearts stamped, then go ahead and adhere the plaid ones. Then simple decorate as desired with a variety of the images and die cuts from the set. Don’t forget to use the same type of decoration on the inside of the card.
Simple Layering
The last card idea features some layering hearts. Start by stamping the plaid heart image on a scrap piece of white cardstock using Calypso Coral ink. Cut out the image with the coordinating die in the set. Next, cut out the scalloped heart, from a piece of Old Olive cardstock, using the die from the set. Layer the two hearts together to create the focal point for the card.
Cut a 1-1/2 x 4-1/4 inch piece of patterned paper and adhere it to the left side of the card front. Next, cut a 1 x 4-1/4 inch piece of Old Olive cardstock. Tear the cardstock piece in half and adhere one of the halves to the patterned paper as shown. You are now ready to adhere the beautiful scalloped heart focal point to the card! Then simple decorate the remainder of the card with some of the beautiful images and die cuts from the set. And, again, coordinate the decorations on the inside of the card with those used on the outside.

I’m not usually much of a “hearts” in any design kind of person but these are very well done and don’t shriek of “Love” at all costs. These are low key and I do love the Darling Donkeys stamp set.

Hello Lynn! Actually I’m viewing this AFTER I’d seen the Darling Donkeys video since you’d mentioned this one as your 1st version of the designs! These are SO ADORABLE, too! Like you, I agree that HEARTS are IMPORTANT ALL YEAR LONG in card designs so this is a FABULOUS BUNDLE! Those dies are AWESOME & I love the SENTIMENTS in the Stamp Set along with the images which are so versatile! LOVE your creative layouts and I know we’ll see you using more of this set!
