Today I have some Sweet Little Valentines to share that are going to absolutely warm your heart! They are easy and fun to make too! The cards feature the Sweet Little Valentines Cards and More pack. The pack comes with 10 card bases, 10 decorative die cuts and 10 coordinating envelopes. You can use them as is or cut the apart to create unique card designs. You can also use the cards to create a coordinating gift box!
The gift box features half of one card base and one of the decorative die cut pieces. The card base measures 6-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches. Simply cut the card base in half, on the score line, so you have a 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 inch piece. Next, cut this piece in half, on the 4-1/4 inch side, so you are left with two pieces measuring 3-1/4 x 2-1/8 inches. Adhere each of these pieces to the top of a mini paper pumpkin box. Decorate one of the scalloped die cut pieces from the Sweet Little Valentines Cards and More pack and adhere it to the center of the box. Super cute and so easy!
Sweet Little Valentines
Now that we have a gift box, let’s go ahead and create some cards to put into it! Handmade cards are such a great gift giving idea. And these Sweet Little Valentines and envelopes fit perfectly inside the gift box. Although there are a variety of different ways to create the little cards, I thought I would share 8 alternate ideas with you today. That way you can create 2 gift boxes and 4 cards to put in each gift box.
These first two cards simply feature the use of the Sweet Little Valentines cards as is. The decorative scalloped edge cards come in the pack already pre-printed with the “You are Loved” and “Love U” greetings. Simply adhere the scalloped die cut images to the card base and, “voila” you have two adorable little Valentines.
The scalloped shaped die cuts are two sided. This means you have 4 different designs you can use in your card making. Each of the designs are featured in the background of these 4 cards! Simply adhere the scalloped die cut images to the card base and decorate as desired!
Alternate Ideas
These first two Sweet Little Valentines cards feature the fun striped background which is already pre-printed on the card base. The double hearts come from one the scalloped decorative die cut cards. Simply use your scissors to cut out the double hearts and then use them to create the focal point on the card. The 1 inch strip of Petal Pink paper comes from one of the card bases. It’s actually the back of the card base we used to make the gift box. Simply cut a 1 x 4-1/4 inch piece of that card base and adhere it to the bottom of the note cards as shown. Then decorate as desired.
If you plan to create a gift box or two, keep in mind you will not have enough of the scalloped die cut images to use on your note cards. This means I had to create my own little rectangular shape for one of the cards. Simple stamp a few images on it, using the Valentine Keepsakes set, and adhere it to the card front.

Lynn,
What punch/die did you use for all the extra little hearts you used on these cards?
Blessings,
Mary Skow
Hi Mary, I just used a retired heart punch that I have had for years
