4 Ways to Use the Stampin’ Up! Happy Dies in Card Making

We could all use a little bit of HAPPY in our lives right now. So today I have some bright and cheery card ideas featuring the new Stampin Up Happy Dies. And and I have 4 different ways you can use them in your card making.

These cards feature the new So Much Happy Bundle from Stampin’ Up! This particular bundle of products includes the So Much Happy Stamp Set and the Happy Dies. Even though I am featuring 4 different ways to use the new Happy Dies, there are many more possibilities.

2 Easy Ways to Use the Happy Dies

The first two ways you can use the new Happy Dies are the quickest and easiest. The die will actually cut out the word “HAPPY” into any piece of cardstock or patterned paper that you want to use. For these cards, I started with a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of paper. The card on the left features the word “HAPPY” cut into a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock. The card on the right features the word “HAPPY” cut into a piece of the Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper.

Once you have the 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of paper cut, simply lay the Happy Die across the paper and run it through your embossing machine. The die will cut out the word right into the paper! So that means you do not have to piece anything together, the die does it all for you. Then simply adhere the paper to your card front and decorate as desired.

2 Ways to Layer the Happy Dies

The next two card ideas feature some fun ways to use the Happy Dies for layering. The first card features the word “HAPPY” cut from three different pieces of cardstock. This is a great way to add a variety of different colors to your card. Each of the three cardstock pieces measure 1-1/2 x 4 inches. You can use any color combinations to create this fun look on the front of your card.

The last card features a fun angle card design. The word “HAPPY” is cut right into the front of the card. Simply lay the Happy Die, on an angle, across the front of the card and run it through your embossing machine. You can add a piece of patterned paper behind the words to accent it. The other fun thing you can do with these dies are to create individual letters to adhere to the card front. Be sure to watch the video to learn more about this particular technique!
