Triangle Card Making Layout – Flowers for Every Season

Don’t you just love playing around with simple yet unique card making ideas? Well, today you are in for a special treat as I am featuring a Triangle Card Making Layout. It’s a unique yet simple card layout that can be used in a variety of different ways! And you can use this layout to create cards for any occasion!

Landscape Style Triangle Layout

The triangle card making layout is easier than you might think! This particular layout involves the use of a 5 x 3-3/4 inch piece of patterned paper. And the best part is, you can use ANY patterned paper for this layout. For these particular cards, I am showcasing a few of the fun patterns from the NEW Flowers For Every Season Designer Series Paper pack.

Creating the triangle design is simple. Place your patterned paper diagonally in your paper trimmer. You will be making a cut from one corner to the opposite corner. After making the first cut, put the pieces back in your paper trimmer and make the second cut. The second cut is also from corner to corner, it’s just the opposite corner. The key to making the cut is to ensure that the triangular pieces from your first cut are lined up. Once you have created 4 triangular pieces, you are ready to make the card. These two cards feature the use of the triangle design in landscape style. The first card features the triangular pieces adhered to a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of white cardstock. The second card features the triangular pieces adhered directly to the card front.

Portrait Style Triangle Layout

The last card layout I have to share features the triangle design in portrait style. Yes, you can easily change up the look of your card simply by changing the orientation. The layout and measurement are exactly the same as the cards I just shared.

You can use either of the layouts I just shared to create the card in portrait style. You can matte out the triangle shapes on a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of white cardstock or simply adhere the pieces to directly to the card front. No matter which triangle card layout you choose, the result is stunning!
