Today I want to share some quick and simple One Sheet Wonder cards and a template you can use to with 6 x 6 inch pattern papers. This template will enable you to cut up an entire 6 x 6 inch piece of patterned paper to create 5 cards. And the best part is…you won’t have any left over scraps!
The cards featured in this week’s video showcase one of the pretty patterned papers from the Best Dressed (Stampin Up) Designers Series Paper Pack. Of course the template for these one sheet wonder cards can be used with any patterned paper you have on hand. Just get creative with it.

One Sheet Wonder Template
Now this One Sheet Wonder template was created specifically for our 6 x 6 inch paper packs. However, you can also use this template with 12 x 12 inch paper packs; simply cut down the 12 x 12 inch papers to 6 x 6 inch size! That means you could actually create 20 cards from one 12 x 12 inch piece of patterned paper by using this template!
I would recommend cutting the 6 x 6 inch piece of pattern paper, vertically, at the 4 inch mark first. This will give you two strips of pattern paper measuring 4 x 6 inches and 2 x 6 inches. Once you have the two strips cut, then go ahead and cut the other pieces. For tips on cutting your pattern paper, be sure to watch the video below.
5 Simple Card Designs
Once you use the template to cut up the 6 x 6 inch piece of pattern paper, you are ready to create your cards. Since the focal point on each of the cards is the same, I recommend prepping all of your supplies first. Once the supplies are prepped, you are ready to assemble the cards.
These first two cards feature the large triangular pieces from the One Sheet Wonder template. The triangular shapes can be adhered to any corner of the card front. You can also create portrait style (like these two cards) or landscape style cards. Just get creative with it!
The last three cards feature the same focal point as the first two. The only difference with these card designs is the size of the pattern paper pieces that are used.
These are all quick and simple card ideas so feel free to add more embellishments, ribbon or additional layers to your cards if you want to jazz them up a bit more.
