Hello my crafty friends! Today I have 2 more easy fun fold cards to share featuring the Stampin Up Positive Thoughts stamp set. Although these card designs consist of a unique fun fold section, they are very easy to create and can be used to create cards for any occasion.
Besides the Stampin Up Positive Thoughts stamp set, these cards were also created with one of the new coordination products called the Nature’s Thoughts die set. However, keep in mind that you can use any supplies you have on hand to create these cards. Just get creative with it!
Portrait Style
So one of the first things you will notice about these fun fold cards are that they do not have a “typical” card base. The card base is cut at the standard card size (5-1/2 x 4-1/4 inches) but it doesn’t open. The fun fold section is actually the part of the card that opens. The card base simply supports the fun fold section.
The fun fold section is in portrait style. It’s like a little book, or a mini card, that is adhered to card base. So when you open up the fun fold section, you can see that there is a spot for writing or stamping a little message.
Landscape Style
This second card idea is similar to the first one. However, the fun fold section runs the entire length of the card base (instead of just centered in the middle). I guess you could call it a fun flap fold. Basically we are creating a 2-1/4 inch wide fun fold section. Much like the first card, it’s the fun fold section of this card that opens up.
