Let’s talk about birthday cards! Ok, I realize that Christmas is just a few days away but… Since I am done making all of my Christmas cards, it’s time to move on to birthday cards. A new year is coming which means we are all going to need a few birthday cards, right? So I am kicking of 2020 with a little birthday bash for card makers!
January is the perfect time to kick off a card making event! It’s the start of a brand new Stampin’ Up Mini Catalog. And, of course, it’s the start of Sale-A-Bration which is Stampin’ Up!’s biggest sale of the year! So that means lots of NEW and FREE products! What better way to start a new year, right?
Birthday Card Making Club
So by now you are wondering what in the world is a birthday bash for card makers? Well it’s just a fun way to describe a new card making club that is starting up in January 2020. It’s only a 3-month club and it features new products and free sale-a-bration items! Here’s a sneak peek of the cards created for the first month of the club.
The club will run from January 2020 – March 2020 and it features all birthday cards! Club members will receive a goody package with over $50 in NEW products, a card making kit and a FREE sale-a-bration item each month! By the end of the 3-month club, you will have 36 fun birthday cards all ready to send! Plus extra card ideas and products to create even more birthday cards. Birthday Bonanza
The first product suite featured in the birthday card making club is called Birthday Bonanza. This product suite is full of bright colors and fun patterned papers that are perfect for birthday cards. Now the suite does have a “kids” theme to it with some adorable little animal images. However, you can create a variety of cards for kids or adults using the products in this suite. Here are a few cards to give you an idea of the versatility.
To create the cards, simply cut a 1-1/2 x 5-1/2 inch piece of patterned paper. Then cut a 1-3/4 x 5-1/2 inch piece of cardstock. Adhere the two pieces together and then adhere them across the center of the card front. And, of course, embellish as desired.
Now you might have noticed, the cards feature the exact same card design idea. The only difference is that changed out the patterned papers and embellishments to create a new “theme.” One card has more of a child theme, with the Koalas, and the other birthday card is more neutral and can be used for kids or adults. They are super fun and very easy to make!
I hope you enjoyed a sneak peek into Birthday Bonanza suite and the card making club! Remember, the birthday card making club starts January 2020. Be sure to reserve your spot soon! Have a creative day! ~ Lynn
