Corner Tuck Fold Cards – Christmastime Is Here

Today I have a new fun fold card idea to share with you called a corner tuck fold! It’s a fun fold card that actually stays closed on it’s own! Now the card ideas I am sharing today feature the NEW Christmastime Is Here product suite. And I just recently shared a some simple card ideas featuring the suite along with 3 different ways to use ribbon in your card making. If you missed it, you can check out the card ideas at https://stamptasticdesigns.com/2019/11/03/3-simple-ways-to-use-ribbon-in-card-making/

Creating the Corner Tuck Fold

Now one of the cool things about creating this card is that you can make two of them from one 8-1/2 x 11 inch sheet of card stock.

You are basically cutting an 8-1/2 x 11 inch piece of card stock in half at 4-1/4 inches so that you end up with two pieces of card stock that are 4-1/4 x 11 inches. Each cardstock piece is cut down to 4-1/4 x 8 inches to create the fun fold section of the card. You will end up with two pieces of cardstock measuring 3 x 4-1/4 inches. These left over pieces will be used to create the focal point on the fun fold card.

Now the corner tuck fold section of the card was created with a 2 x 2 inch piece of patterned paper. Simply cut the 2 x 2 inch square in half, diagonally, to create the corner tuck fold section of the card. Then all you need to do is decorate it!

Portrait Style

These first two card ideas that I want to share with you feature a portrait style corner tuck fold. The creation of the corner tuck fold is exactly the same for both of these cards, the only difference is the way in which I decorated them.

This first card is decorated with the corner tuck section on the upper left hand side of the card. This card opens from the top down.

The second card features the exact same card base design I simply turned it so the corner tuck fold section is on the bottom right hand side of the card. So this card opens from the bottom up.

Both cards have the exact same corner tuck fold design, the only difference is the position of the corner tuck section when I decorated it. By rotating the card base, you can create a completely different look!

Landscape Style

The next two corner tuck fold card ideas that I want to share with you feature a landscape style. Now the creation of these two cards is exactly same as the ones I just shared. The only different is that I turned the card base from a portrait style to a landscape style and then decorated them!

Now you can also modify all 4 of the card designs I shared today to create four more cards.  Simply adhere the corner tuck section on the opposite corner of the card base for a whole new look.  It doesn’t matter which side you put the corner tuck section on as the measurements for creating the card are exactly the same.

Christmastime Is Here

Now as I mentioned earlier, these cards feature the new Christmastime Is Here product suite. This is a gorgeous suite of products that is available in a bundle or individually. However, it’s only available for a limited time, through the month of November 2019, or while supplies last! So if you love it, don’t wait too long to get it!
