It’s getting a little spooky in my craft room this week! And that means I have some spooky fun Halloween card ideas to share with you. These are not just any Halloween cards, they are Double Flap Fun Fold cards!
Although the cards feature some spooky fun Halloween products, you can certainly use the information in this fun fold tutorial to create cards for any occasion! Just get creative with it!
Creating the Double Flaps
In this week’s video, I am featuring two different versions of the Double Flap Fun Fold card. This first card showcases the basic design of a double flap fun fold card.

The base of the card is simply a 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 inch piece of cardstock with a 4 x 8-1/2 inch fun fold section. The second flap on the card comes from a 1 x 5 inch strip of cardstock. The small 1 inch flap overlaps onto the larger fun fold section.

It’s almost like a Joy Fold card except with a smaller front flap. You can learn more about Joy Fold cards HERE.
Stepped Up Double Flap Card
This second card features a stepped up version of the first card. Well, it also features some different patterned papers from the Monster Bash Designer Series Paper pack. The concept for creating this card is the same as the first one I shared. The only difference is the addition of a 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 inch piece of cardstock on the front of the card.

Now the addition of this large piece of cardstock means that we can also add more decorations. So you will notice that the DSP is in the center of this card (instead on the left hand side as featured on the first card). Adding this section steps up the card and gives it a little different look.

You might also notice that there are two inside sections to this Double Flap Fun Fold card. The picture above features the first “inside section of the card. There is a little greeting that is underneath the 1 inch front flap. This is not visible until you open up the card.

This next picture features the inside section of the card. So, when all of the flaps are open, this is what it looks like.
Tutorial & Supplies
Now the cards in this video have a Halloween theme and feature some of the fun products from the Stampin’ Up! Monster Bash suite. But keep in mind that you can use any stamp set or any patterned papers you have on hand to create these cards Just get creative with it!
