Let It Snow – 4 Snowman Season Card Ideas

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…well, in my craft room it is! Today I have some super cute little cards to share featuring the Snowman Season stamp set and the Let it Snow suite. 4 card ideas including clean and simple ideas, a fun fold and a shaker card!

Let It Snow – Product Suite

Ok, so how adorable are these little cards? I had a blast creating some clean and simple cards as well as some stepped up versions. The cards were created with a variety of adorable products from the Let It Snow Suite.

Simple Snowman Season Card Ideas

Now the first two cards I created with Snowman Season stamp set feature some clean and simple card designs. By starting with some simple card designs, it makes it so much easier to step them up to create more super cute cards!

Although this new stamp set is not available until September 4th, you can start prepping for it’s release! To create these cards, you will need some coastal cabana cardstock for the base of the cards and 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of white cardstock to do the stamping for each card. Both cards showcase the adorable little snowman stamped on the lower right hand side of the white cardstock using black ink. Both snowmen were colored using the dark pool party stampin blend which is pretty close in color to the coastal cabana cardstock. The difference between the two cards is the addition of a 2 x 4 inch piece of patterned paper and a popped up greeting on the second card. Otherwise, the design is very similar.

Stepping Up Your Cards

Once I created the first two cards, it was very easy to take that design to create a fun fold card and a shaker card. Now the fun fold card is called a Joy Fold. I recently shared this particular card design with you a few weeks ago. You can find all of the measurements and a printable tutorial for creating a Joy Fold Card HERE

Now the shaker card is a bit more detailed. You can create the circle openings on the card simply by using some circle dies or a punch. This card features one of the stitched shapes circle dies. I simply started with a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of white cardstock and cut out the circles shapes on the upper part of the cardstock. I saved one of the circle shapes to use with the greeting. The snowman images were stamped on another piece of white cardstock, towards the top so that they would show through the circle shapes. You can learn more about how to assemble a shaker card HERE.
