Today I have some beautiful friendship cards to share with you featuring some simple stamping and some Z fold cards. The cards showcase one of the new In Colors, called Seaside Spray, which is just the right shade of blue to create these hydrangeas.
Beautiful Friendship
The cards were created with the hydrangea image from the Beautiful Friendship stamp set from Stampin’ Up. This particular stamp set has a variety of floral images in it but I was immediately drawn to the Hydrangeas.
Two of the cards are quick and simple ideas and two are fun fold cards. Each card is just a little bit different in design and on the amount of layers or embellishments that are used. So we are basically stepping up the designs from simple to fun fold cards.
Simple Card Ideas
So let’s start by talking about these simple card ideas created with the Beautiful Friendship stamp set. The first card, featured on the left, showcases the hydrangea image stamped in the center of a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of white cardstock. The leaves are stamped in Soft Sea Foam green and the greeting is stamped in black. The card is beautiful with just this stamping; however, I decided to accent it just a bit more by adding a 1/2 x 5-1/4 inch piece of patterned paper above and below the stamped images.
The second simple card idea features the hydrangea image stamped twice on a 5-14 x 4 inch piece of white cardstock. This time I added a 1 x 4 inch piece of patterned paper across the center of the card in between the two stamped images to create a focal point for the greeting.
Z Fold Cards
Now I had so much fun with the first two cards I created that I just had to put together a few fun fold cards for you. These are both z fold cards which are my favorite type of fun fold cards to make!
The first card features a regular z fold and the second card is a double z fold. If you are not familiar with Z Fold cards, I have several videos and tutorials that can help! Last week I featured a video on how to create a Double Z Fold card, so be sure to check out that post HERE. Both Z fold cards, when complete, measure 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 inches when closed. These cards might look complicated but they are one of the easiest fun fold cards you will ever make.
