Mosaic Mood – 4 Simple Thank You Cards

The new Stampin’ Up! annual catalog will go live in just a few days! Wahoo! So today I want to share a few simple thank you cards featuring the NEW Mosaic Mood product suite. In particular, I will focus on some fun things you can do with the pretty patterned paper.

It’s all about the patterned paper!

If you love the look of mosaics, you are gonna love this new product suite! One of my favorite things about this suite is the new Mosaic Mood Designer Series Paper. There are a variety of fun and beautiful mosaic tile designs in this paper pack.

I was immediately drawn to the floral mosaic designs like the one featured above. The first thing I did with this paper was cut out a few of the pretty images to use an embellishments on my cards. This first card features a few different mosaic roses and a butterfly cut from some of the Mosaic Mood Designer Series Paper (DSP). Simply cut out the images you want to use and arrange them on any color card front.

Simple, right?

Now the fun thing about the Mosaic Mood Designer Series Paper is that it works well with ANY stamp set! You can recreate these cards, using only the patterned paper, and simply stamp any greeting you want on them. I love designing cards that can be used for just about any occasion!

Simple Thank You Cards

Now you can use any color cardstock you prefer to create the base of the cards. For these cards, I used thick white cardstock to make the greeting “pop.” Here are the measurements for cutting the mattes and the Mosaic Mood Designer Series Paper (DSP) for each of the cards:

• Card #1 – Cut a 2 x 4 inch piece of one of the patterned papers. Add a 2-1/4 x 4-1/4 inch piece of Soft Suede cardstock as a matte behind it. Stamp a greeting and embellish with a butterfly cut from the patterned paper.
• Card #2 – Start with a 2 x 5-1/2 inch piece of one of the patterned papers and adhere it across the bottom of the white card front. Add a 1/2 x 5-1/2 inch strip of Soft Suede cardstock across the patterned paper as shown. For the finishing touch, simply embellish it with a few images cut from the patterned paper.
• Card #3 – Cut a 2 x 5-1/2 inch piece of one of the patterned papers and adhere it to the left hand side of the card front. Cut a 2 x 4 inch piece of a different DSP pattern. Add a 2-1/4 x 4-1/4 inch piece of Soft Suede cardstock as a matte behind it and secure it to the card front.. Stamp a greeting and embellish with a flower and hummingbird cut from the DSP.
