Today I have a simple purse gift bag with a coordinating card that I want to share with you. Although I had Mother’s Day in mind when I created these, the gift bag and card can really be decorated to fit any occasion.

Giving a handmade card along with a handmade gift bag is sure to WOW your family friends. I mean not only did you make the card but you made the pretty packaging too!
Purse Gift Bag Tutorial
In this tutorial, I will show you how to make this adorable purse gift bag from a paper bag. Yes, a brown paper lunch bag. It’s so super simple to create too! This paper purse gift bag is the exact same size as a regular card when closed. It measures 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 inches. It’s the perfect size for those little brown lunch bags as you only need to trim down the top part of the bag.
The purse gift bag showcases the Stampin’ Up Daisy Punch (which will carry over into the new catalog). The daisy is the perfect size embellishment for the gift bag too. Now I am also featuring one of the beautiful patterned papers from the Happiness Blooms DSP pack. This particular paper pack is retiring but keep in mind you can use this gift bag idea with ANY patterned papers that you have on hand.
Just think about all of the patterned papers you have on hand…now think about all of the gift bags you can create with those papers! The possibilities are endless, right?

Coordinating Card Idea
Of course you can’t have a purse gift bag without a coordinating card, right? Right! This card features all of the same products I used to create the gift bag. Well, except minus the brown paper bag.
