Easter Bunny Treat Holders

Hippitty Hoppitty Easter’s on it’s way! Today I want to show you how to create some adorable Easter Bunny Treat Holders using the punch art ideas I just recently shared with you in last week’s post.

Easter Bunny Sweet Cups

Now these little Easter Bunny treat holders are made with Stampin’ Up! sweet cups. The sweet cups are little white containers that can be used to create all sorts of little fun projects. They come in a pack of 10 and there are lots of things you can do with them. The sweet cups also come with lids but I didn’t use the covers for these particular projects. However, you could certainly use these little bunnies to decorate the lids instead of the sides of the container.

If you have oval and circle shapes in your craft room then you can easily make these little treat holders. Here are the shapes you will need to create the little bunny that is jumping into the treat cup:

Cut two ovals from a piece of pink patterned paper that are approximately 1-3/4 inches long. From a piece of crumb cake cardstock, cut the following pieces:

  • 2 inch circle for the body of the bunny
  • 3/4 inch circle for the tail of the bunny
  • Cut two ovals that are approximately 2 to 2-1/8 inches long ovals (scalloped ovals or plain edged ovals).

Sponge a bit of crumb cake ink around the edges of each of the brown colored shapes. Adhere the patterned paper ovals to the center of the crumb cake ovals to create the padded feet for the bunny.

To assemble the Easter Bunny Treat Holder, start by adhering the bottom part of the body of the bunny to the inside of the treat cup. Adhere the feet to the body so they are hanging off the edge of the treat cup. Use dimensionals to pop up the feet off the cardstock. Adhere the tail to the body with a little dimensional and fill it with your favorite Easter treats!

Easter Bunny Cards

One of my favorite things to do is to create cards and treat holders that coordinate! These little treat holders were inspired by the Easter Bunny Punch Art cards that I shared with you last week. Just in case you missed it, you can watch the video to learn more about how to create the punch art bunny face and the adorable cards that coordinate with these little treat holders at https://youtu.be/YAGG_dGrc_w
