Attention all beer lovers, friends of beer lovers and, of course, card makers! Today I have a pop beer card design to share. It’s a fun and simple card idea for any beer lover but it definitely makes a great masculine card idea.
The cards feature a fun fold commonly referred to as an easel card. The use of an easel card design is what helps pop up the beer mug on this card. As you can see in the pictures above, the cards are propped open and the beer mug is on display. The beer mug is actually the front of the card and, when it’s in the easel position, the front of the card rests on some embellishments on the inside of the card. So in this week’s video, I will show you how to make that happen.
It’s important to note that the card will lay flat when closed which makes it easy for mailing.
Creating the Beer Foam
The great thing about these pop up beer cards is that you can use a variety of different supplies to create the beer foam.
The first pop up beer card features the use of the clouds dies from the Up and Away Thinlits from Stampin’ Up!, to make the foam on the top of the beer mug. And if you don’t have that particular die set, you can always use different sized circles to create the foam. You can even use embossing paste to create the foam on your pop up beer card. So many possibilities! I bet you have many different supplies on hand that you can use to create these cards!
