St. Patrick’s Day is only a week away so I though I would share some quick and simple card ideas with you today. These fun St. Patrick’s Day cards feature images from the Amazing Life (Stampin Up) stamp set.
There are a variety of different card ideas to choose from! You will learn how to create some quick and simple St. Patrick’s Day cards and make a fun little Leprechaun Hat Card. Make them all or just a few!
Clean and Simple Cards
The first set of cards I want to share with you are considered Clean and Simple card designs. This type of card design features lots of white space and very few embellishments.
To make these cards, simply cut a piece of Call Me Clover cardstock for the base of your card. Oh, and the Call Me Clover color is spot on for making St. Patrick’s Day cards and projects. Not sure how to cut the card base? Take an 8-1.2 x 11 inch piece of cardstock and cut it in half and score each of the piece in the middle to create the card base. You will be able to create two cards from one 8-1/2 x 11 inch piece of cardstock!
Next, cut a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of white cardstock. Stamp the images on the cardstock, as shown, using black ink. Color in the clover and part of the greeting using the light shade of the Call Me Clover Stampin’ Blend. Then embellish as you wish!
Stamp a Background
This St. Patrick’s Day card features the use of the clover image to create a fun background on the card. Yes, you can create some fun backgrounds with your stamp images.
Start with a piece of Call Me Clover cardstock to create the base of your card. Stamp the clover image on the sides of the card front using Call Me Clover ink. Using the same color ink as the cardstock gives you a more subtle background on the card. For a bolder background, stamp the images in black. Cut a 2-1/2 x 4-1/4 inch piece of the green patterned paper from the Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper pack and adhere it across the center of the card front as shown. Stamp a greeting and a little clover on a rectangular stitched shape. Color in the images with the light shade of the Call Me Clover stampin’ blend. Adhere the rectangular shape to the card front and embellish as desired.
Leprechaun Hat Card
Does this card design look familiar? It’s the exact same card design as the Pilgrim Hat that I featured back in November of 2018. The only difference between this Leprechaun Hat and the Pilgrim Hat are the colors and embellishments!
Watch the video to learn how to create the hat template >>> https://youtu.be/txvfZwBsftw
To create this fun little Leprechaun Hat Card you will need a few different colors and supplies than what I featured in the video. I recommend Call Me Clover cardstock, a corner round punch, some type of heart punch or die cut and a circle shape to decorate the hat.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed these St. Patrick’s Day cards. Feel free to leave a comment below. Questions, thoughts and suggestions are always welcome!
Have a creative day! ~ Lynn
