Today I have 3 different panel cards to share which feature the Stampin’ Up! Happy Tails bundle. These cards also showcase the “stepping up” card designing technique. Now you might recall that stepping up your cards is a great way to use some of your favorite card designs to create “NEW” cards. It’s one of my favorite card designing techniques because it’s quick and simple! So if you are struggling to come up with “NEW” designs, the “stepping up” technique will really help inspire you.
Check out my post from last week in which I used this technique to create 4 clean and simple card designs.
Stampin’ Up! Happy Tails
Now before I talk about how to create the cards, I just have to chat with you a bit about the NEW Stampin’ Up! Happy Tails bundle in the Occasions Catalog. This particular bundle of products includes the Happy Tails stamp set and the coordinating Dog Builder punch.
Now how adorable are these little cards? The Night of Navy and Balmy Blue color combination are great together! I think it’s the little dog image and paw prints that made designing these cards so fun!
Panel Cards
So now let’s talk about the card design. In today’s video, you will learn how to use a panel card design to create 3 different cards. We will start with a clean and simple one panel card design and step it up to create 2 more cards simply by adding additional panels.
Be sure to watch the video for a complete supply list, measurements, and step by step instructions for creating these cards!
Although this video features some adorable little Happy Tails card ideas, you can certainly use these card designs with any supplies that you have on hand. Simply focus on creating the panels and then just stamp and decorate the cards with your favorite supplies! You can use cardstock, patterned paper or a combination of the two to create the different panels for your cards.
