4 fun card ideas with ONE stamp set! Yep, you heard right! Today I am featuring 4 fun and super cute cards created with the So Hoppy Together stamp set from Stampin’ Up! Sometimes it helps to see a variety of cards that you can create with ONE stamp set. Plus I also want to give you a little sneak peek of some fun NEW framelit dies that are coming out which coordinate with this set! Wahoo! I am super excited about this and other exclusive Sale-A-Bration Coordination products that will become available to YOU starting March 1, 2019!
The Hop Around Framelit Dies is one of the Sale-A-bration Coordination products coming out in March. This die set coordinates with all of the images in the So Hoppy Together stamp set! Super fun! Plus there is a little lily pad die in this framelit set! So I just had to use it on most of the cards I am sharing with you today. I hope you enjoy the projects.
Clean and Simple
So let’s start by talking about the clean and simple card design. I really enjoy creating clean and simple cards lately. There are so many fun ways to create a “clean” look but this is by far my favorite. Lots of white space and my stamped images off on the right hand side of the card.
Now you can place the images anywhere you want on the card but I seem to be drawn to this style lately. It’s pretty natural to place images on the right hand side of the card as our eyes will move from left to right across the card. Start by stamping the sentiment in the corner of the card. Then stamp the other images on a scrap piece of paper, color them in and cut them out with the coordinating framelit (or by hand). Pop the images up on the card with a few dimensionals.
Simple Sponging Technique
Now this next card is basically the same concept as the previous one. You will stamp, color and cut out the frog and butterfly images. However, for this card you do a bit of sponging to create a soft background for your stamped images. Oh, and of course, we need to add a lily pad!
Start with a piece of white cardstock for the base of your card. Sponge some Balmy Blue ink in the center of the card front. Cut out the lily pad from a piece of green cardstock and adhere it to the card as shown. Stamp the frog and butterfly images on a scrap piece of white cardstock using black ink. Color them in using Calypso Coral Stampin Blends, for the Butterfly, and Call Me Clover Stampin Blends, for the frog. Cut out the images and “pop” them up on the card with a few dimensionals. For the finishing touch, stamp a greeting using black ink.
Stepped Up
These last two cards are “stepped up” versions of the first two cards. You will be using the same images from the other So Hoppy Together cards. Now there are other images in the stamp set that you can use but for the purpose of this tutorial, I wanted to show you how you can make several different cards with the same stamp images.
To create these cards, you will use the exact same images from the So Hoppy Together stamp set as well as the same colors: Calypso Coral and Call Me Clover. The card on the left has a 2 x 4 inch piece of patterned paper on the bottom as well as a bit of ribbon but features the same images as the first two cards. Now the card on the right was my attempt to CASE one of the cards featured in the Sale-A-Bration catalog. The card features the same images as the other 3 cards but this time I used some images from the Abstract Impressions set as well. I got a little carried away with decorating it but it turned out pretty cute LOL.
