Hello Cupcake Simple Card Designs
So the Hello Cupcake stamp set is one of the free products you can earn during Sale-a-bration with a qualifying order. It is such an adorable set and there are so many fun cards you can make with it! And today I want to share 3 simple card designs that involve the adorable images in this set!
Simple stamping is sort of a “less is more” approach to card making. It involves mostly stamping and very few layers or embellishments. I typically start with a clean and simple design; but, then, step it up a bit to create yet another card design. The stamping is the same but stepping up the card enables me to give it just a little different look. You can step up a clean and simple card design by adding a few embellishments or a layer or two. So let’s take a look at a couple of examples.
Hello Cupcake – Clean and Simple
So this first card involves what is commonly referred to as “clean and simple” stamping. You will notice that there is a fair amount of white space on the card and just a few little embellishments. The stamped images are the focal point on the card.
Clean and simple card designs are a great way to showcase your stamped images. Sometimes the beauty of our stamping can get lost in the layers. As you can see in this example, the clean and simple look makes the stamped images the focal point. And how adorable, right? This style of stamping is also perfect when you have a lot of cards to make and you want to use the same design.
Hello Cupcake – Stepped Up Designs
The last two card designs that I have to share with you today are stepped up versions of the clean and simple design. Notice that the stamping is the same but this time the image is accented with a few embellishments and/or layers.
For these two cards I decided to make the cupcake the focal point in the center of the card. First, I cut a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of patterned paper. Then I simply took one of the rectangular stitched framelits and cut out the shape in the center of the paper. This left me with a “frame” for one card and then a rectangular piece to use as a matte on the other card. Such a super fun way to change up the look of the card.
Join me on my Stamptastic Designs Facebook page tomorrow morning at 8:00am for a LIVE demonstration on how to create these cards.
You will be amazed at how simple they really are.
Have a creative day ~ Lynn
