3D Pop Up Butterfly Card

Would you love to create some 3D interactive cards but you’re not sure how to get started?  Well today I have some fun and simple 3D Pop Up Butterfly card ideas to share. You are definitely gonna love the simplicity and versatility of these pop up card ideas. These cards are sure to WOW your family and friends!

In this 3D pop up card tutorial, you will learn a simple little accordion fold that you can use to create a butterfly pop up section on the inside of the card. You will also learn how to step up this 3D pop up card to create a card within a card! Wait what? Yes, I did say a card within a card.

3D Pop Up Butterfly Card

This first card is a quick and simple card design that has a fun little pop up section on the inside of the card.

The pop up section was created using a simple accordion fold and some fun patterns of DSP. Watch the video to learn how to create this card.

3D Pop Butterfly Card – Stepped Up

This next card is a little stepped up version of the first card. The concept is the same however we will be creating a card within a card. That means that when you open up the purple butterfly card, you will find another card on the inside. Open up the inside card and there you will find the little pop up section of butterflies. Pretty fun, hey?

Now don’t worry, it’s still a very simple card to create but I bet you are going to love the little added twist to this card. Watch the video to see this card in action!

Tutorial and Supplies

All of the supplies used to create the cards were cut from different patterns of paper in the NEW Botanical Butterflies Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. This DSP is FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale-a-bration!

Although this tutorial features a 3D pop up butterfly card, the card designs can be used to create a pop section in ANY card for ANY occasion.  Just get creative with it!
