Snowman Cards To Make With Glitter

Today I want to share some fun snowman cards to make with glitter!  Now I know how messy glitter can be but if you use the right adhesive, glittering up your cards can be fun and easy. Just look how the glittery background really creates a sparkling wintery scene and, of course, the adorable Spirited Snowman image really finishes off the card nicely.

Snowman Cards To Make With Glitter

These snowmen cards are super simple to make and you need very few supplies to get started.  Choose a blue colored cardstock for the base of your cards.  For these cards I used Night of Navy cardstock for one and Pool Party cardstock for the other. Cut a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of white cardstock. Sponge some pool party ink in the center of the cardstock. Use a circular motion to sponge on the ink. Your next step is to use the glitter application technique as noted below. Once you have the white cardstock glittered, tear the top edge of a 1-1/2 x 4 inch wide piece of white cardstock (Card #1) or a 1-1/2 x 5-1/4 inch piece (Card #2). Stamp a sentiment on the white cardstock and adhere it to the bottom of the card.  Then simply embellish as desired.

Now, for the glitter! Cut a 4 x 6 inch piece of an adhesive sheet. Peel off the backing off to expose the adhesive. Lay the sponged cardstock, face down on the adhesive, peel off the backing to expose the adhesive. Sprinkle the adhesive with glitter and tap off the excess. The glitter sticks to the adhesive to create a beautiful wintery scene.

Now if you really want to create a wintery scene, try using some embossing paste around a small glittered area to create the look of snow!  This snowman card was created in the same manner as the others, the only different is the size of the adhesive sheet that I used. I simply cut at 2 x 4 inch piece of an adhesive sheet and laid it over a small area that I sponged with pool party ink. After glittering up the adhesive, I simply spread some embossing paste around the glittered area to create the look of an ice rink. Cool, hey?
