Stylish Christmas Cards

Although it’s July, it’s the perfect time to get a jump start on your Christmas cards!  Earlier this week I shared a fun new Christmas in July class opportunity with you. The class features the new Stylish Christmas stamp set which has some absolutely gorgeous images. If you love poinsettias, you are going to love this set! I can’t put this set down! That’s why I created the class and these additional cards!

To create this card, start with a piece of white cardstock for the base of your card. Stamp the decorative swirl image and some poinsettia leaves around the center of the card front using old olive ink. Cut out a stitched label and stamp a poinsettia on it using Real Red ink. Stamp the “Peace” sentiment in random spots on the card front. For the finishing touch, embellish the center of the flower with some metallic gold pearls.

So the fun thing about this stamp set is that the poinsettia image is a DistINKtive stamp. This means that it’s a deeply etched image allowing you to effortlessly add depth and dimension to your stamped image. Simply ink up the image and stamp it! That’s it! You will immediately notice the light and dark ink patterns. On the poinsettia, the flower leaves are darker in the middle and they are lighter on the outer edges of the leaves. I just love how the image is highlighted in all the right places!

To create this card, start with a piece of white cardstock for the base of your card. Stamp the decorative swirl image on the card front using versa mark, sprinkle with gold embossing powder, tap off the excess and heat to set. Cut out a stitched label and emboss a sentiment on it in gold. Stamp a poinsettia on a scrap piece of white cardstock using Real Red ink. Cut out the flower by hand and embellish the card as shown.

There is still time to register for this month’s class!  Get all of the details at >>> https://www.createwithlynn.com/online-classes
