It’s time for a spot of tea! And as soon as I saw the Tea Room suite I was immediately attracted to the elegant and dainty images of the products in this suite. The copper tins just might be one of my favorite products in this suite. I enjoy putting together coordinating cards and gifts and, of course, I love to give them away. I recently became a Chemo and Senior Angel through www.chemoangels.com which enables me to send a bit of happiness and support people that are going through some of the most difficult times in their life. Putting together a little gift set like this is the perfect way to help brighten their day.
This little gift set is a quick and simple project to put together. Here are the instructions:
To create the card:
- Start with a piece of white or vanilla cardstock for the base of your card.
- Cut a 2-3/4 x 5-1/2 inch piece of the yellow patterned paper from the Tea Room Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack.
- Cut a 3 x 5-1/2 inch piece of Rich Razzelberry cardstock. This serves as the matte for the DSP. Adhere down the center of the card as shown.
- Use the scalloped edge copper vinyl stickers from the Tea Room suite and add some to each side of the center piece.
- Create the focal point on the card using the 2 scalloped framelits in the Spot of Tea die set. Cut the large fancy scalloped circle using a piece of the Tea Room DSP and the smaller fancy circle cut from a piece of white cardstock. Optional: You can use the layering circle framelits as well. I used a large layering circle to add a copper foil scalloped circle
- Stamp a sentiment using Rich Razzelberry ink and embellish with a little butterfly from the Tea Room Memories and More Card Pack.
To create the tin:
- Use one of the fancy copper vinyl stickers from the Tea Room suite to decorate the lid and the bottom of the tin.
- Cut a 2-1/2 x 12 inch piece of the yellow patterned paper from the Tea Room DSP pack. Wrap it around the tin just above the copper trim you added.
- For the finishing touch, add a bit of copper trim just under the lid. Tie it in a little bow.
This is a beautiful product suite! I hope you enjoyed the projects! ~ Lynn
