There are so many things to love about the products new Stampin’ Up! catalog! One of the products that I just can’t seem to get enough of is the Stitched Label Framelits. I love the look of stitching around the different shapes. And these framelits made it so easy to achieve that look without having to drag out my sewing machine. And the last time I tried to use my sewing machine to add a bit of stitching to my card, it didn’t turn out very well.
This new framelit set has a variety of different labels and shapes that you can use on your crafty projects. For this card, I actually used the large decorative label along with the new embossing mats to create an impression of the framelit on the background of the card. It’s subtle, and might be hard to see in this picture but it’s beautiful in person! This particular card showcases several different Stitched Labels, the new Share What You Love Designer Series Paper and a fun new Detailed Trio punch.
To make this card, start with a piece of Rich Razzelberry cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 4 x 4 inch square from a piece of white cardstock. Use the Detailed Trio to punch the little design in each of the 4 corners. Emboss the large stitched label framelit in the center (using the embossing mats). Add another stitched label in the center cut from some Rich Razzelberry cardstock and add a sentiment from the Stitched All Around set stamped in crumb cake ink. Tuck a 1/2 x 4 inch piece of the crumb cake patterned paper, from the Share What You Love DSP, on the top and bottom of the white cardstock and then adhere the entire piece to your card front. For the finishing touch, I simply embellished it with some leaves and a flower from the Share What You Love paper. Oh…and pearls…don’t forget the pearls! Enjoy!
