Father’s Day is right around the corner and I am well prepared with a stack of masculine themed cards! Thanks to the Manly Moments Paper Pumpkin kit! The kit contained all of the materials to create 10 fabulous cards that really are perfect for any occasion, not just Father’s Day.
Neutral colors and plaid patterns always work great for creating masculine cards. And the nature scene, well those were my favorite cards to make! Once I popped out all of the die cut trees to create the card, I realized the scrap pieces would make a great stencil to sponge my own nature scene.
How cool is that? And it was super simple! I used the template to create my own little forest! All you need is a sponge dauber and some Mossy Meadow ink. Oh, and of course a template to use as a stencil. I laid the template on my cardstock in the spot I wanted to start. You will notice that the template was not big enough to cover the entire length of the cardstock. I simply sponged ink across the top part of the template, then moved the template over and continued to sponge color on the cardstock until I had a row of trees running across the card. Once the tree line was complete, I continued to sponge color from the tree line down to the bottom of the card.
For the finishing touch, I used the birds image from the High Tide stamp set and added a little 3/4 inch circle for the sun. It’s a great card that can be used for many occasions, not just manly ones. It was a super fun kit and I loved the simplicity. I hope you enjoyed the projects!
