Happy New Catalog Day

Good Morning! Happy New Catalog Day!  WAHOOO!!! The launch of a new Stampin’ Up! catalog is always such an exciting time! Are you excited?  If you have seen the 2018-2019 Stampin’ Up! catalog, then you have seen all of the fun stampy goodness in there!  The new Stamparatus, fabulous new stamp sets, designer papers, and a whole bunch more!  If you haven’t seen the new catalog, you can view it right online!  Just click on the catalog link on the right side of this website.  If you would like a hard copy of the catalog, you can request one here.

So to kick off the start of the new catalog, I want to share a little project with you. This project was created with a pretty new embossing folder called Lovely Floral and is part of the Share What You Love suite. Embossing folders are one of my favorite things to use when creating cards. Adding a bit of textures can really step up any card with very little effort.   For this card, I simply embossed the Lovely Floral image on a 3-1/2 x 4-1/2 inch piece of white cardstock and then sponged a few different colors over the raised image. The yellow matting behind the embossed image is a piece of So Saffron cardstock cut to 3-3/4 x 4-3/4 inches. Oh, and the card base is a piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock. The card is embellished with some twine and a few glittery enamel dots that I had on hand.

For the finishing touch, I added a bit of Wink of Stella to the flower to achieve the glittery look. I love the simplicity of the card and how quickly it came together!

Happy new catalog day! Enjoy!
