It’s Graduation Time! The time of the year that we get to celebrate all of the fabulous accomplishments of our new Grads! We know how hard they have to work to get to this point so it’s only fitting to make them a special graduation card. And this graduation card is sure to WOW any new Grad!
It’s a fun fold card ~ a Graduation Cap! And you will be surprised at how easy it is to make it! Here are the supplies and measurements you will need:
Card Base
- 8 x 8 inch piece of Black cardstock. Score at 4 inches, then turn and score at 4 inches, then turn and score diagonally from corner to corner. (Watch the video to see how the card folds up).
- Punch a 3/4 inch circle from a piece of black cardstock. This serves as the “button” on the top of the cap.
- Baker’s Twine Tassel (watch the video for instructions on making the tassel)
Inside of Card
- Two 3-3/4 x 3-3/4 inch pieces of Whisper White cardstock. Adhere to the upper left and lower right squares.
- One 3/4 x 3-3/4 inch piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock (or choose one of the school colors for the new Grad). Adhere as shown.
- One 3-3/4 x 3-3/4 inch piece of Silver Foil. Cut the foil, diagonally, so that you have two triangular pieces. Use the Hexagon Embossing Folder (or one of your favorite embossing folders) to add texture to the silver foil pieces. Adhere the pieces as shown.
- “Congrats” sentiment cut using silver foil paper and the framelit from the Sunshine Wishes set.
- Silver Metallic Baker’s Twine (or other color twine) to make the smaller tassel.
- Metallic Star Shapes (or other embellishment).
- Yay You stamp set (or other stamp set with a congratulatory sentiment)
