Welcome Baby

Creating baby cards is so much fun!  There are so many adorable stamp sets to play with but my favorite is the set called A Little Wild. Baby animals are just so cute! And this little baby elephant is one of my favorites in the set.

Pink and gray is one of my favorite color combos so naturally I had to use it to create this baby card.  The card is quite simple to create. Start with a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock for the base of the card. Cut a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of shimmery white cardstock (or watercolor paper). I used blushing bride ink and an aqua painter to create the pink color wash in the background. The fun little vines were cut from one of the framelits in the bundle. The adorable little elephant is created with Smoky Slate ink and cardstock. The framelit in the bundle is designed to cut out a front and back for each of the animal shapes to create little tags. Instead of a tag, I simply used the “front” part of the framelit to create the elephant for the card. I did a bit of fussy cutting on the top of the elephant to remove the tag feature.

I created this little elephant card to swap with a few members of my team.  I thought you would enjoy seeing some of the cards that they created for the baby swap. Super cute!
