Washi tape is a fun little product that has many many uses. It comes in a variety of different fun colors and patterns so I am always collecting them. In fact, I seem to collect washi tape like I collect patterned papers meaning…I have a lot! While you certainly can use washi tape to add pops of color or pretty patterns to your project, you can also use it to add ink! Yes, ink!
You might be more familiar with an inking technique that involves the use of Painter’s Tape. Well you can achieve the same look on your projects using washi tape. Since washi tape comes in a variety of widths, you can create all sorts of fun designs! Last week I gave my team a little washi tape creative challenge. The projects they designed were fabulous and they inspired me to grab my washi tape and start creating!
Here are a few of the projects I whipped together:
I had so much fun creating all sorts of colorful backgrounds for my cards! Stripes, plaids and even a “wood” background. I think the masculine card is my favorite. Although the St. Patrick’s Day card is a close second!
