Gold Foil Christmas Tags

This holiday season I have been so inspired to create Christmas tags!  There are so many different ways you can use tags. You can create pretty packages, use them on cards or even on your scrapbook pages. I received a fun package of sparkly gold products in the mail from a friend of mine so I decided to turn them into pretty little tags.

What you might find interesting is that the designer paper used to create these beautiful tags was not Christmas paper at it. It is a beautiful pack of designer paper from the Bundle of Love suite. But it certainly worked well for these tags.

There are some fabulous gold products in the catalogs this year. Gold sequins, foil snowflakes, ribbon, glimmer paper, foil, patterned paper…just to name a few. I just love the elegant and sparkly look of gold on my projects.

Now there are a variety of different die cuts and punches you can use to create your tags. So grab some of your favorite supplies and get busy creating! I find that when I layer different shapes together it gives my projects a fun look!

To create the tag, I would recommend using the scalloped tag topper punch. It creates a pretty little top for your tag with very little effort. The tags I showcased here measure 2 x 4-1/4 inches in size. The opening for the tag punch is 2 inches so you will want to keep your tags 2 inches or less in width. Once you have created the base of the tag, then decorate as desired!
