Hello Stampin’ Friends! Today I want to showcase the versatility of the products in the Quilted Christmas suite. In particular, I want to focus on the Quilt Builder Framelits. This product suite is all about quilting and gives your projects the homey, handmade feel. But wait until you see what else you can create with these products!
This was one of the first projects I created with the Quilted Christmas product suite. And by looking at this card, you wouldn’t automatically think quilting. The framelits (die cuts) in this products suite are called Quilt Builder Framelits. There are a few detailed flower and quilt patterns that, when combined together, create a beautiful focal point for your card. For this project, I embossed the card front with the Quilt Top Textured Embossing Folder. I used one of my stitched framelits to cut out a large square and then embossed the center of it with the large quilt patterned die in the set. The focal point on this card is simply cut with the solid and detailed flower dies. I layered them together and secured them to the center of the square. It was quite simple and this is one of my favorite cards created with the product suite.
This card design was actually inspired by the pieces left over from created the previous card. I saved all of the little petal pieces from cutting out the detailed flower (the center flower on this card and the previous one) and then created the flowers on each side of this card. It gives it an elegant and fun look. Plus there is no waste as I used all of the scrap pieces! The flowers are secured to a 2 x 5-1/2 inch piece of white cardstock embossed with the Softly Falling Textured Embossing folder. You can add a bit of gold glimmer paper to the top and, of course, embellish the flowers with some gold metallic shapes or shapes cut from glimmer paper. The sentiment is embossed in gold too! I hope you enjoyed the projects!
