Painted Harvest Wreath

The Painted Autumn product suite is one of my favorites in the holiday catalog! It really captures the beauty of autumn. The sunflower image in the Painted Harvest stamp set has been used to create some gorgeous cards! I think my Pinterest boards have captured many! I have also seen some very creative ways to use the images like making a wreath!  I thought it was such a clever idea that I had to create a fall wreath first. But I definitely plan to use this set to make some Christmas cards too! Let’s take a look at how to make this card.

To make this card, start with a piece of Early Espresso cardstock for the base of the card. Cut a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and stamp a little sentiment on the bottom using Early Espresso ink. Once you have stamped your sentiment, place the upper part of the Very Vanilla cardstock in the Layered Leaves embossing folder (be sure to leave the sentiment hanging out of the bottom of the embossing folder) and then send it through the embossing machine. Cut a 2 x 4 inch piece of one of the patterns from the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper pack and adhere it to the card just above the sentiment. Cut out a few different sized layering squares, one from Very Vanilla cardstock and one from Early Espresso cardstock. Stamp the layering sunflower images (two of them), from the Painted Harvest stamp set, in the center of the Very Vanilla square using Crushed Curry ink. Stamp a few “berries” Cajun Craze ink. I used the Holly Builder Punch and the Holly Berry Happiness to create the bow but it would look just as pretty if you used some coordinating ribbon. I hope you enjoyed this little project!
