This is my favorite time of year! There are so many fun things to do and celebrate! Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas! All of my favorite things packed into the next three months! 🙂 As I was working on holiday cards this year, I began to play around with different color combinations. So I decided to put together a few ideas for you based on the Stampin’ Up! colors! There are traditional color combinations as well as some fresh new ones!
So the traditional Halloween colors usually involve orange and black, right? When I play around with color combos I like to chose at least 3 different colors in a grouping. Now I do create cards with just one or two colors but it’s not always easy to come up with a third or even fourth color to use when creating a project. Hence, that is how I came up with the idea for the color charts. Now as soon I saw the NEW Lemon Lime Twist In Color, I knew that it would work well for Halloween! You can pair it up with the traditional orange and black or use it with a purple and gray color for a fun look!
For the autumn themed color combinations I really focused on pairing up colors that are found in nature. Autumn is such a beautiful time of the year because there are so many vibrant colors in nature. Different shades of green, orange, browns and yellows, when paired together, always make me think about autumn.
There are a lot of great color combinations in the Stampin’ Up! designer papers too so if you are having trouble deciding what color combinations to use, you can always start there. Or you can refer back to these color charts at any time!
