Hello Stampin’ Friends! Happy Friday! I always look forward to the weekends as that is really the only “me” time I tend to get as my week is so busy with work! Working as a nurse, I always look forward to spending at least one day a week just stamping. It’s my way to relax, unwind and refresh myself! This weekend I will be putting the finishing touches on the projects for my Fall Stampin’ Extravaganza! I can’t believe October 21st is only a few weeks away! So before I get busy this weekend, I wanted to share some quick and simple projects I was working on during the week!
The projects showcase the beautiful paper in the Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. This DSP has a variety of shiny gold and silver patterned papers. They are absolutely stunning papers! I decided to showcase a project create with the coordinating stamp set, Cheers to the Year, as well as a completely different set called Every Good Wish.
For this project, I used the Cheers to the Year stamp set. All of the stamped images on this card are heat embossed in gold. The base of the card is whisper white. I cut a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of the gold checkered DSP pattern and adhered it to the white card front. I cut out a circle with the Stitched Framelit and embossing the gold string like patterned on the circle. The fun die cut behind the white circle is one of the new Foil Snowflakes! Love them! I cut a small banner from a piece of white cardstock and embossed the word JOY in gold. Then I simply embellished the card with a few Year of Cheer embellishments. It was so simple, yet so elegant!
For this card, I used white cardstock with another 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of the gold checkered patterned DSP. Only this time, I used some layering labels to stamp my images and create the focal point on the card. The colors are cherry cobbler, old olive and a few gold embossed splatter images. Simple and pretty.
