Good Tidings

Good Morning and Happy Friday! Hope you had a wonderful and crafty week!  Today I want to share a fun Christmas card idea that actually came to me by accident!  I was attempting to create a fun fold card when I accidentally scored it in the wrong spot! Instead of cutting up the card and using it for scraps, I decided to cut off the scored area and, in doing so, I created a unique little design for the front of the card!  Take a look!

How fun is this?  It actually looks a bit like a piano (which was totally unintended). So this is your basic 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 inch card size. I simply cut a rounded shape on the front flap of the basic black card base. Next, I cut a 5 x 3-3/4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock and adhered it to the inside of the card. I stamped the Good Tidings of Great Joy sentiment on the white cardstock inside the card using black ink. Then I simple embellished the card with a bit of designer paper, rhinestones and some hand-stamped holly…yes, you have to cut out the holly by hand. I think it turned out absolutely fabulous! A happy accident for sure!
